The U.S. Military has reportedly attacked a Panama-flagged civilian cargo ship attempting to enter an Iranian port, allegedly carrying only food and medicine.

UPDATE 11:49 AM EDT --
A U.S. helicopter struck the Panama-flagged "Vela Nova" cargo ship with a missile near Pakistan's coast, sparking a fire, officials said.
All 17 crew survived.
U.S. forces said they targeted the ship's rudder for ignoring blockade warnings.
