A Wisconsin judge, Hannah Dugan, was found guilty of obstruction for assisting an immigrant evade federal agents.

The jury convicted her after deliberating for six hours, clearing her of a lesser charge of concealing an individual. Dugan faces up to five years in prison.

Prosecutors argued she misled immigration agents searching for Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, advising them that a warrant was not sufficient for arrest. After the agents left, Dugan allowed Flores-Ruiz to exit through a back door. Tensions rose over how the case reflects on Trump's immigration policies
