Iran just broadcast on VHF Marine Radio Channel 15 — the international maritime distress and hailing frequency — “If any vessels try to transit without permission will be destroyed. Out.”
A direct transmission on the radio frequency every captain in the Persian Gulf has open right now.
The Strait of Hormuz is marked hazardous area, restricted for all traffic. The map is Iranian. The rules are Iranian and the consequences are Iranian.
White House Spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said Iran agreed to open the Strait. Iran just told every ship in the region what happens if they believe her.
