FLASH: U.S. Diesel "Crack Spread:" $122

In an utterly staggering rise, the Refining "Crack Spread" to manufacture Diesel Fuel has suddenly risen to $122 per Barrel.  They call it the "crack" spread because Crude Oil molecules must be "cracked" to break them into Diesel Fuel.

That means the price of one barrel of crude oil, presently around $95, PLUS another $122 to refine it, making wholesale Diesel fuel at least $217 per 42 gallon barrel.

Because these prices continue to go up, Diesel prices at the retail pump will necessarily INCREASE again this week into next.   

The U.S. is rapidly heading toward $8.+ per gallon for diesel fuel at the pump.  It's already above that price in California, which sees several stations selling Diesel at $9.99 per gallon.

The U.S. economy simply cannot sustain this.  Truckers are already Bankrupting in record numbers.   On October 1, many Truckers are going ON STRIKE over Diesel costs.

When those trucks shut down, products don't move.   Empty store shelves start showing up.
