Buc-ee's runs some of the largest Travel Centers in the United States.  Their location in Melissa, Texas north of Dallas, is a gigantic 50,000 square Foot Building with upwards of 100 Fuel Pumps!

The Buc-ee’s location in Melissa, opened in 2019.

The popular convenience store/travel center is located in the 1500 block of Central Expressway in Melissa and is more than 50,000 square feet.

It’s the 36th location of the chain, known for its Beaver Nuggets, large number of restrooms that are regularly cleaned and numerous gas pumps. The Melissa location has nearly 100 pumps.

Buc-ee’s has opened several locations in North Texas in the past few years, including Fort Worth and Denton.

The first Buc-ee’s opened in the Houston area in 1982.

"COULDN'T GET THE FUEL WE WANTED"

Today, the first report has come in claiming 60% of the pumps at Buc-ee's in Melissa, TX are SHUT OFF and "most Diesel pumps are closed."

The report surfaced on Social Media from Wampum Mining, LLC out of Osage County, Oklahoma.  The social media profile for that user shows this:

This morning, Wampum Mining, LLC posted the report:

As shown in a screen shot of the report, "only about 40% of the pumps are turned on" and a "Manager said ""gasoline shortages starting to hit us.""

The posting was immediately challenged and the original poster responded.   He went on to describe "All pumps facing west have bags over them. All ethanol free pumps are closed. Most diesel pumps closed."

His original posting was challenged again, and he responded, again: "Basically said they weren't able to buy all the gasoline they wanted/needed ahead of the 4th"

He was asked by several people "Where is Melissa" and he replied yet again with a localized map:

As the conversation thread continued, a person (presumably) from Arkansas, dropped this little gem of information:

Social media User, @MCorleCapital, reported  "In North West Arkansas Premium Fuel is missing from many pumps."

Today is July 5, 2026.  For weeks, JP Morgan Commodities has been claiming in their charts that oil reserves would get so low that they would reach "tank bottom" around July 4.   When the tanks reach "tank bottom" they can no longer feed oil into   refineries to have it refined into various fuels.

Here we are on July 5, and the first KNOWN reports of fuel shortages, are starting to appear.

UPDATE 10:05 PM EDT -- UPDATE FROM NEW JERSEY

This came to my attention after I wrote the story above.  I did NOT write this, it was written by someone else and arrived to me.   It is directly related:

Today I went to a beautiful south Jersey "cedar" lake in the pine barrens with a nice beach and lifeguards and happy kids in the warm water. NJ has a lot of such lakes.People are friendly, and I was water walking to get some good exercise with a bad knee. I ended up at one point next to a lady in her thirties who was also walking. We exchanged a bit of small talk, and the conversation drifted in such a way that I spoke up about gasoline and diesel shortages coming. She looked at me and said soberly that she works for the NJ state rebate program, which is busy giving rebates to people for the excessive taxes they paid under the last governor. (We got one for property tax relief.) She said she works in giving rebates to businesses in petroleum related areas and things are really bad and we are running out.I asked her to explain, and she said they deal with companies that buy big amounts of diesel oil for trucking, as well as companies that own huge storage tanks for fuel. I asked if she meant refined product and she said yes, diesel and gasoline. (It ends up at big construction sites, fleet yards, ie, trucks and shipping containers, and your local gas station). She said nothing new is coming in and some tanks are shut down and the rest are running out. I asked how much longer it'll last for NJ, and she said nobody knows. She said nobody at work wants to talk about it at all, its like people can't face what is coming and are just blocking out reality. She also mentioned that motor oil is gone. She is in the section for giving rebates on past huge taxes on motor oil, but there isn't any more being bought. You can still get synthetics, but in her words its like ethanol instead of gas. It just isn't as good. She is of course a "prepper"; I asked. But mostly she is scared of inflation. She said when the tanks run out she can't imagine gas prices. She did say she is expecting a COVID-2 sort of thing where in one day all of a sudden everybody is mobbing stores to get toilet paper, only in this case its won't just be toilet paper. So, that's your doom news from the Pine Barrens of NJ. If you are not getting everything you possibly can to take care of your kids and grandkids while the trucks and cars are still running, please, hurry up. Do not procrastinate.Pray for mercy on us all.
