Trump turns on 'low IQ' Tucker Carlson after podcaster told troops to DISOBEY ORDERS and seize nuclear codes
Donald Trump has branded Tucker Carlson 'low IQ' after the former Fox News host told US troops to defy the President's orders and called on military chiefs to block his access to the nuclear codes.
'Tucker's a low IQ person that has absolutely no idea what's going on. He calls me all the time; I don't respond to his calls. I don't deal with him. I like dealing with smart people, not fools,' Trump told the New York Post on Tuesday.
Carlson told listeners Monday night the US military top brass should block Trump from accessing the nuclear codes, and tore into the President over his 'praise be to Allah' post on Easter Sunday.
'Now it's time to say no, absolutely not, and say it directly to the president, no,' Carlson said, adding that officials should tell Trump to 'figure out the codes on the football yourself' - a reference to the leather briefcase carried by a military aide at all times that allows the President to authorize a nuclear strike.
Trump showed no signs of backing off Tuesday, threatening Iran with annihilation in apocalyptic terms ahead of an 8pm ET ceasefire deadline.
'A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don't want that to happen, but it probably will,' the President said in post to his Truth Social followers.
Carlson's relationship with the White House appeared to collapse as he launched his most personal attacks on Trump since the Iran war broke out, expressing outrage at the President's expletive-laden Easter post telling Iran to 'open the f***ing Strait.'
'How dare you speak that way on Easter morning to the country?' Carlson said. 'Who do you think you are? You're tweeting out the F-word on Easter morning.'

Carlson went on to speculate that Trump thought of himself as God and has no respect for religion, including Christianity.
'The message of all faith at the biggest picture level is the message in our Bible, which is you are not God. And only if you think you are, do you talk this way,' the pundit continued.
'But it's not just mockery of Islam. And no president should mock Islam. That's not your job. This is not a theocracy. We don't go to war with other theocracies to find out which theocracy is more effective. We are not a theocracy. And God willing, we never will be because theocracies corrupt the religion.'
Carlson had visited the White House days before the US and Israel launched strikes against Iran on February 28, his podcast ranking among the most listened-to in the world.
He has frequently criticized the US military operation, particularly on the basis that Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu drew Trump into a war.
