The price for a barrel of Diesel fuel has reach $182.616 per barrel as of August 24, 2026.
This price is derived from two things:
1) The cost of one barrel of crude oil
2) The refining cost
As of this weekend, the price of diesel fuel in northeast Pennsylvania (where I am this Monday morning, has reach $6 per GALLON.
People say oil is the lifeblood of our economy...But it's actually diesel.

Most farming operations
Most mining operations
~80% of US freight by weight
~80% of global trade
We're going to feel the inflationary pressure of $183 diesel while crude is struggling to stay above $80.
