A Super Tanker Oil Vessel has struck a Naval Mine in the Strait of Hormuz and exploded into flames.
The tanker is burning out of control.
No word yet about the condition of any crew.
Very large pools of crude oil are leaking into the sea and are ablaze.
Iran says the ship tried to sneak out of the Persian Gulf with its lights, its navigation systems, and its Automated Identification System, all shut down. It allegedly tried to utilize a non-approved transit lane which Iran had already declared publicly to be "unsafe."
