OP-ED -- The Washington Post is reporting that their Sources in the Pentagon say the US is "preparing for weeks of Ground Operations in Iran."
Sure. We've heard this Bullshit before . . .
Let me explain what the Pentagon just said because nobody's going to frame it this way.
They're preparing "weeks of ground operations in Iran" -- you've heard that word, "weeks," before.
Afghanistan 2001.. "a few weeks to dismantle Al-Qaeda".. became 20 years.. $2.3 trillion.. 2,400 flag-draped coffins.
Iraq 2003.. Rumsfeld looked into the camera and said "weeks, not months".. became 8 years.. 4,500 soldiers dead.. $2 trillion spent.. no WMDs ever found.
Libya 2011.. Obama said "days, not weeks." Libya still has two competing governments in 2026.
Now Iran.
3x the size of Iraq. 580,000 active troops. The largest ballistic missile arsenal in the Middle East. Sitting on the Strait of Hormuz. The chokepoint for 20% of the world's oil supply.
And the word they chose is still "weeks."
The word never changes because the people who choose it never come home in a flag-draped coffin.
