Operation Sindoor, India Pakistan Ceasefire Violation News Live Updates: According to a media briefing by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and other confirmed reports, Pakistan violated its bilateral ceasefire understanding with India on Saturday, hours after it was announced.

Multiple explosions were heard in the Jammu and Kashmir regions of Srinagar and Udhampur late Saturday, only hours after an understanding was reached between India and Pakistan through a direct call between th Director General of Military Operations (DGMOs) on both sides to stop all firing. Moreover, complete blackout was also observed in Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Jaisalmer as drones were spotted in these sectors.

The explosions have prompted heightened alert in both civilian and military establishments, even as the stoppage of firing officially took effect from 1700 hours Indian Standard Time.

The developments come in the backdrop of Operation Sindoor which had targeted nine terrorist camps using precision airstrikes and coordinated ground operations, as a retaliation to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.

However, Pakistan resorted to heavy shelling across LoC between May 8 and 10 including shelling forward posts and drone-based missile attacks. The Indian Armed Forces have responded and neutralised these attacks that have been spread over the bordering states of Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Rajashthan and even parts of Gujarat.

The IAF strikes reportedly caused significant damage to 11 Pakistani air bases.
