The U.S. Air Force is advancing its Agile Combat Employment (ACE) strategy, dispersing operations across smaller, remote bases to avoid potential missile strikes on major airfields in the Pacific.
Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David Allvin said “If we’re going to need to operate from those sites, having active defenses would certainly help against a threat of a large number of missile attacks."
