British base forces in Cyprus and Jordan have been on the ground, fearing a possible general conflagration in the Middle East and the southeastern Mediterranean, an official told an Athenian newspaper.
At the same time, the National Guard of Cyprus, in consultation with the British bases on the island, have also increased their status of readiness and are in constant communication.
The same military sources said the alert level also applies to naval installations in the two countries, fearing uncontrollable, over the conflict between Tel Aviv and Tehran.
