UPDATED: Macron Convenes Emergency Meeting -- France Running-Out of Fuel

France is running out of fuel.

Eleven percent (11%) of France's stations nationwide are now out of gasoline or diesel, that's one in nine stations.

Sixteen percent (16%) of stations short in Grand Est, Fifteen percent (15%) short in Pays de la Loire, Fourteen percent (14%) in Occitanie, and Thirteen percent (13%) in Centre-Val de Loire, per government figures published this morning.

UPDATE:

President Emanuel Macron convened an urgent emergency meeting over the energy crisis, saying prices at the pump have reached historic levels.  He went on to say that this is "entirely due to the wars and the international context," and above all to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and the US and Israeli attacks on Iran.

Macron says France did not choose this war and did not take part in it, that an agreement between Iran and the US "seems unlikely to us in the short term," and that "we don't hold the key to Hormuz."

He is convening a G7 meeting on energy in the coming weeks to coordinate stockpile levels and consider releasing strategic reserves.
