As of 7:22 PM eastern US Time on August 30, 2026, I am beginning to receive reports telling me "Trump is escalating; the war is resuming."
I am also seeing reports that Iran has fired missiles, possibly at the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan.
I am endeavoring to verify and get further details.
7:25 PM EDT -- Receiving more reports telling me "The shit is hitting the fan in Iran."

7:28 PM EDT -- Iran is launching ballistic missiles from all over the country, in a large-scale wave.
So far, LAUNCHES from: Tehran, Karaj, East Azerbaijan, Urmia, West Azerbaijan, Zanjan, Shiraz, Lorestan and Khorramabad.
Multiple explosions at the Muwaffaq Salti US base in Jordan minutes ago.
7:35 PM EDT -- EXPLOSION REPORTED AT AL UDEID AIR BASE IN QATAR
Iranian state media Fars says unofficial reports indicate an explosion at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, a major U.S. military installation.
There is no independent confirmation yet of an attack, damage or casualties.
This comes amid rapidly developing reports of Iranian missile activity across the region.
Watching for confirmation from Qatar and U.S. officials.
CONTEXT: APPARENTLY, THE U.S. STRUCK IRAN'S LARAK ISLAND EARLIER TODAY. NOT SURE WHY, YET. THIS APPEARS TO HAVE RE-STARTED THE ENTIRE CONFLICT.
IRGC spokesman Brig. Gen. Hussein Mohebi on the U.S. Strike against Iran earlier today: "This action was a strategic and fatal mistake by the Trump regime during the economic war. A mistake that will shift the balance of power against those behind it, and carry heavy costs. The enemy will pay the consequences of this miscalculation in both the economic and military fields."
MORE: Israel Channel 14-TV, citing sources, reports that the U.S. strike on Iran's Larak Island killed dozens of IRGC personnel and left nearly 100 others injured.
7:47 PM EDT - UNCONFIRMED: Reports of a direct hit on a US destroyer by an Iranian land-to-sea missile in the Strait of Hormuz
CONTEXT CONFIRMATION: The US Struck two Iranian Naval Mine Launchers on the Island of Larak about four (4) hours ago. This was the first U.S. Strike on Iranian territory in several weeks.
7:53 PM EDT -- Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC):
“We have destroyed technical and repair infrastructure, as well as aircraft maintenance facilities, at the two American airbases of King Hussein and Al-Azraq in Jordan"
At least 2 impacts in the US base in Jordan from the latest barrage.
Footage purporting to show a successful Iranian ballistic missile strike on Jordan's Mwafaq al-Salti US Airbase.

Brent crude has surged above $90 a barrel, rising more than 2% following US strikes on Iranian missile launchers on Larak Island in the Strait of Hormuz.
