UPDATED 7:20 PM EDT -- Missile Launches At Ships in Strait of Hormuz; Tanker Vessel Hit & BURNING

6:58 PM EDT -- 28 September 2026 -- Iran's IRGC Navy has now started launching another wave of anti-ship missiles toward US-escorted vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.

Several explosions have reportedly been heard as five US aerial refueling aircraft are also operating overhead.

This is the second reported wave of Iranian missile launches toward the Strait of Hormuz within about the past hour.

Iranian forces appear to again be targeting vessels as heavy US military aircraft activity continues over the region.

UPDATE 7:20 PM EDT --  

Iran has just struck an oil tanker transiting the Strait of Hormuz under US escort in the US-backed southern Omani corridor.

A fire has now broken out aboard the tanker, per Ambrey Intelligence.

The strike follows anti-ship cruise missile and drone launches from Qeshm Island an hour ago.
