Details of talks between the U.S. and Russia about the war in Ukraine will not be released, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Tuesday.
The two nations met in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Monday, and a joint statement was expected to be released at 4 a.m. EDT Tuesday but never materialized.
Peskov explained "the content of these talks will not be made public for sure. This is something that should not be expected," and that "reports made [by the delegations] to their capitals are being analyzed, and only later it will be possible to speak of any understanding."
"There is understanding that contacts will continue, but there are no specifics yet," Peskov said. "It will be agreed upon.
Russian negotiator Grigory Karasin also spoke with TASS Tuesday, and expressed that the meetings held Monday "was an intense dialogue, not easy, but very useful for us and the Americans."
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky posted to social media Monday the "U.S. team" spoke with "representatives of Russia. After that, another meeting took place between the Ukrainian and American teams. I'm expecting a new report soon."
UPDATE 1:20 PM EDT --
The United States has given a generalized "read-out" of the talks with Russia:

The following details have been obtained through Intelligence Sources and reveal details not yet made public. There is ONE component of this that is . . . . horrifyingly serious.
Sanctions on Russia's agricultural and fertilizer exports to be removed, bringing Russia back into the international market with possible talks of SWIFT.
NO use of commercial vessels for military purposes. The use of the sea for transporting weapons to Ukraine will be seen as a break in the deal to Russia.
Russia reiterated it's commitment to the ban on attacking energy infrastructures. Both sides agreed to new measures on ensuring the 30-day energy ceasefire with talks of extending it.
The idea of 3rd parties was suggested and new countries would be invited to ensure both maritime and energy ceasefires are kept. (No boots on ground)
The US stated it will keep working with Russia to achieve a strong and lasting peace. Both sides agreed "there are more benefits to working together than destroying each other."
Hal Turner Analysis
There were more discussions but both sides have agreed to releasing those in the future.
Both sides called the 12hr long talk "a big step forward." So that's good in general.
The one item above which states "there are more benefits to working together than destroying each other." sent chills right down my spine. THAT is the actual level we have arrived at through the grossly incompetent Biden / NATO actions over the past three years. We are at the point where "destroying each other" is actually on the table.
Let that sink in for a moment.
You know, over the past three years, in my reporting of this situation, many, MANY people derided my reporting and urging people to "prepare" as "fear porn." They referred to my coverage as "click bait" and smeared me as "Chicken Little "The Sky is falling."
Well lookie, lookie, here: I was right. Both sides actually said "there are more benefits to working together than destroying each other."
Destroying each other ! ! ! ! ! ! !
That's where we were. We were THAT far into hostilities, plans, and actual aggression.
Sadly, any rational analysis of the present situation MUST accept that we are not out of the woods, yet.
There is very VERY serious work to do. It is all extremely delicate because the Biden regime destroyed trust; destroyed relations to such a degree, that outright annihilation made its way to the realm of actual possibility.
That possibility remains; and what's now at stake is our very existence. Do we talk this through as rational, honest adults who make commitments and KEEP OUR WORD, or do we do what Biden did, say whatever is necessary to get-over, and not sway from The Biden/NATO true goal which was clearly the break-up/destruction of Russia?
This is going to be touch-and-go for awhile. There are going to be pitfalls, mis-steps, mistakes, mis-interpretations, misunderstandings. And all those things will take place in an environment where our destruction of each other is on the table.
This is not going to be easy, or nice. It is going to be very, VERY hard.
We may not get through it.
But then again, we may; with a firm reliance upon Almighty God, honest dealing, and keeping our word, we just may get through this.
Pray.
