Three Oil Tanker Ships Attacked and Burning in Persian Gulf!

At least one, and now reportedly TWO large Oil Tanker Ships have been attacked in the Persian Gulf and are burning and exploding.

The vessels are in the territorial waters of Iraq, near the city of Basra.


Witnesses say "small boats" were seen rapidly approaching the vessels before they exploded.  The description seems to be describing unmanned surface vessels  commonly called marine drones.



UPDATE 7:14 PM EDT --


Now being informed "2 ships, 1 American, named SAFESEA VISHNU the first US-owned oil tanker taken out in this war, and 1 Australian oil tanker, have been destroyed with "explosive laden boats" allegedly from Iran. Both were oil tankers.




Iran has struck a Thailand-registered ship attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.


Thai authorities said the bulk carrier MAYUREE NAREE, sailing under the Thailand flag, was struck by projectiles while travelling about 18km north of Oman.
