People have asked if presidents have body doubles that either wear face masks or have plastic surgery to appear as the HVA (high value asset) or the President.

History speaks for itself and this is not "new technology" which is far more advanced today.

Based on the available information, Saddam Hussein indeed used body doubles. Multiple sources suggest that he employed numerous doubles to confuse and protect himself. Here are some key points:

• Autobiography of Latif Yahia: One of Saddam’s body doubles, Latif Yahia, wrote an autobiography, “I Was Saddam’s Son,” detailing his experiences as Uday Hussein’s double. Yahia was forced to serve as Uday’s body double against his will.

• Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld: When Saddam was captured in 2003, Rumsfeld addressed concerns that the US had apprehended a decoy, citing the possibility of plastic surgery and identical tattoos, moles, and bullet holes to make the doubles appear authentic.

• Scientific analysis: Dr. Dieter Buhmann, a scientist, examined 450 images of people claiming to be Saddam and concluded that the dictator had multiple doubles. He noted anatomical differences, such as varying facial structures and proportions.

• Arab press reports: The Arab press has long reported on Saddam’s extensive use of body doubles, citing his elaborate security precautions and frequent changes in appearance.

• Conspiracy theories: Some sources suggest that Saddam’s doubles were used to create confusion and misdirection, making it difficult to track his movements and plans.

While there is no definitive proof of the exact number of body doubles used by Saddam Hussein, the cumulative evidence from various sources indicates that he did employ multiple doubles to protect himself and maintain secrecy.
