Tomorrow morning could be the worst day on the stock market since COVID.
At Friday's close, oil prices were at $109.86.
Then, all this happened over the weekend.
If you're currently holding any assets, be sure to pay close attention to the following:
On Saturday morning, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) reported that a supertanker had struck a sea mine in the Strait of Hormuz.
A "massive" explosion occurred, igniting a fierce fire.
Hours later, a second supertanker suffered the same fate.
Each tanker was carrying over 2 million barrels of crude oil.
Also on Saturday, two oil tankers were attacked near Al Jubail in Saudi Arabia.
Houthi forces are currently launching attacks on Saudi Arabia, with drones already shot down near Riyadh.
Meanwhile, Ukraine launched a massive drone assault on Russia, deploying over 1,000 drones.
St. Petersburg's oil pier and the Ruchyi oil depot were engulfed in flames.
Flights at the city's airport have been restricted.
The Kremlin stated that its war objectives remain unchanged.
This is the world's most critical oil transit chokepoint.
It's also Russia's primary oil export terminal.
Both caught fire on the same weekend.
This is anything but ordinary.
And one more thing that no one's saying out loud right now:
All these sudden events have yet to be priced into the market (i.e., not yet reflected in prices). The oil market has been closed since Friday. The stock market has also been closed since Friday.
Throughout the entire weekend, the only market still trading was crypto.
Late Saturday, chip stock-related derivatives plunged as much as 7% in 10 minutes.
Bets worth $51.6 million were wiped out in an instant.
This was just the market's initial reaction.
Tomorrow, real market trading begins.
