If you live in the Northeast US and use HO (heating oil) or diesel (also gasoline/jet), know this:
1) Regional distillate (diesel/HO) inventories are at their lowest seasonal record ever.
2) A huge refinery that supplies the Northeastern USAE (Irving Oil, Saint John) is undergoing a major turnaround Sept-Nov
3) Price impacts are likely to all fuels, but especially heavies like Home Heating Oil and Diesel Fuel.
Shortages are likely.
I have previously warned readers of this website and listeners to my radio show, to call their local Home Heating Oil supplier and get their oil tank topped-off. That warning is now more urgent since a major supply source in the Northeast is going Offline for months.
DIESEL
Diesel fuel continues to rise in price.
