According to a new report by Israel News, Israel's recent operation against nuclear and military targets in Iran is the result of months of intelligence and confidential operation preparations that follow the immediate warnings of the Islamic Republic's progress in the path of arming its nuclear program.
According to the report, in November last year, Israeli political leaders ordered the military to prepare for a massive attack on Iran. Immediately after the issuance of the decree, a special team was formed at the Army Military Intelligence (Aman) codenamed "Hipkha Mistabara", a secret team of technology experts whose job was to closely monitor and analyze Iran's progress in the nuclear field.
Just a few weeks later, the team warned that Iran had launched a systematic project to reach the final stage of developing a nuclear-capped missile. At the same time, the Aman Research Department also reported disturbing evidence of the development of nuclear weapons in Iran.
According to the warnings, the activities of some Iranian scientists were focused on very sensitive and advanced components that were not unprecedented in the framework of the Iranian government’s official nuclear program, an issue that analysts saw as a clear sign of Tehran’s crossing the declared borders.
In May, Aman’s chief Shamumi Binder sent a report warning to Israeli leaders that “Iran is worryingly reducing the technical distance and knowledge to acquire a nuclear weapon.” From this time, preparations for military operations have entered into the implementation phase.
Military planners ordered to design a precise and simultaneous attack on key targets, including the physical elimination of several senior Iranian officials. For each goal, several operational scenarios were developed, including workplace, private accommodation, and safe houses.
In the final weeks before the attack, Aman developed a technological tool that used live data to determine the number of target people’s presence in each place. The system allowed the commanders to select the exact moment of the attack on Friday morning to get the maximum result.
The final result of the operation was the removal of more than thirty senior officials of the Islamic Republic, including the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the commander-in-chief of the Revolutionary Guards, and a number of key operators of Iran's nuclear program.
According to Israel News, the attack is a turning point in Israel’s strategy to curb Iran’s nuclear program.
