The image above shows an Israeli newspaper from the year 1984 with blaring headline "Iran on Verge of Making Nuclear Bomb."

"Israel facing existential danger!" This scare tactic ought to be wearing thin these days especially since the truth has been hidden for over 6 years. Iran already has nuclear bombs. Iran further advanced their nuclear weapons development with the money given to them by the Obama administration.
The public seems to forget the past and the history. Governments know this so they leverage the same tactics, excuses and approaches over and over again. Always a "threat." Always a "dire emergency." Always "give us more money." When will the world wise-up?
The Obama Administration made two notable cash payments to Iran:
$400 million: In January 2016, the US released $400 million in cash to Iran, which was part of a settlement related to a decades-old dispute over a US-based trust fund established in the 1970s to support American military equipment purchases. The funds were frozen after the 1979 Iranian Revolution and had been the subject of international court disputes. The payment was made in a plane carrying cash, pallets of which were flown to Tehran.
$1.7 billion: In August 2016, the US paid Iran $1.7 billion in cash, which was part of a settlement related to outstanding Iranian debts to the US, including interest, dating back to the 1970s.
The reality is that Iran used both of these two payments to dramatically advance their existing nuclear weapons systems and enrichment facilities that are built underground and out of sight from satellite surveillance. But the IAEA will still deny this fact to not scare other countries and... more importantly, to not make the liars look bad.
The false claim:
"Iran has not yet developed or acquired nuclear weapons. The information suggests that Iran has had a nuclear program, including uranium enrichment and research reactors, but it has been subject to international inspections and monitoring under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)."
