This story publishes at 6:15 PM EDT, Friday April 10.  Within the past 60 minutes, the United States RELEASED $6 Billion in "Frozen" Iranian assets, and directed those in possession of the funds, Qatar and South Korea, to effectuate the transfer of those funds as soon as practicable.

Whether or not that happens now, on a Friday after all markets closed, or before the resumption of hostilities, remains to be seen.  Iran is wary that this is simply another US ploy, and that the US may renege on it.  The world is now watching for that, too.

Release of those frozen Iran assets is a pre-condition set by Iran for them to enter into talks with the US.

No word yet on Iran's other pre-condition, that Israel ceasefire in Lebanon.
