May 31, 2026  5:30 PM EDT -- Reports are coming out of Iran claiming the President of the country has RESIGNED.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has reportedly submitted his resignation, warning that his government has been sidelined from major decision-making as hardline IRGC factions increasingly take control of the country.

UPDATE 6:56 PM EDT --   The reports mentioned above are FALSE.

Rumors quickly spread on social media, initiated by the expatriate channel "Iran International", that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian had submitted his resignation to Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei.

Pezeshkian had to refute this information provocation:

"As long as I am alive, I will continue. Either we will rule the arena with force, or we will become martyrs. We, whose souls are not higher than the soul of our dear leader and those who have so far become martyrs, must be on the stage, and the stage must be ruled."
