There is a BANKING COLLAPSE in the South American country of Paraguay.
3 million customers, about 60% of all adults in Paraguay:
Salaries, Pensions and Savings . . . . All FROZEN.
The effective collapse and regulatory seizure of Ueno Bank, the country's largest digital lender, has triggered a severe financial and political crisis.
The bank’s app, cards, transfers, ATMs, and branch services were shut down overnight, locking out customers.
The trigger was a solvency (capital adequacy) ratio that fell to about 5.56%—well below 50% of the legal minimum of 12%—after accounting adjustments ordered during regulatory reviews.
