The Kremlin warns Britain
"The Kremlin has warned Britain not to allow Ukraine to use the British Storm Shadow missiles to hit Russia.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia would respond if Britain allowed Ukraine to hit Russian territory with British weapons. The newly elected British Prime Minister Kir Starmer hinted that Ukraine could use the British Storm Shadow missiles to hit military targets within Russia, and Peskov said it would constitute an irresponsible escalation.
According to the Kremlin, the Russian military is working to create a "zero zone - in the periphery of Kharkov, but this will take time.
In May, President Vladimir Putin said Russia was creating such a zone to protect its border areas from Ukrainian attacks.
Moody's Visit to Moscow
Commenting on Narendra Modi's visit to Russia, Peskov denied disagreements between President Vladimir Putin and the Indian prime minister during their talks in Moscow this week. Modi indirectly reprimanded Putin on Sunday, a day after the deadly Russian attack on a pediatric clinic in the Ukrainian capital Kiev, when he described the death of innocent children as painful and terrifying.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that the decision to cancel planned talks between the Russian and Indian delegations was made for planning purposes and because the entire agenda had been covered. "This has absolutely nothing to do with any disputes or problematic situations," Peskov said."
