Parts of the Pentagon are currently undergoing a lockdown and partial evacuation due to a "hazardous materials incident." A Hazardous Materials Sensor Triggered for ANTHRAX.
Current Situation Details
· The Cause: Internal security systems detected an anomaly regarding an air quality issue inside the building, triggering emergency safety protocols. A sensor detected ANTHRAX and alerted.
· Affected Areas: Floors 2 through 5, specifically within corridors 4 through 7, are under a strict lockdown. Some adjacent corridors are being actively evacuated, while a shelter-in-place order remains active for the immediately impacted zones.
· Emergency Response: The Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) Hazmat Team, heavily assisted by the Arlington County Fire Department, is actively on-site conducting chemical analysis and air testing. First responders have been observed inside the complex wearing full chemical protective gear and gas masks.
· Current Threat Level: According to Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell, these measures are strictly precautionary while teams work to identify the nature of the air quality issue. No specific chemical or external attack has been confirmed at this time. UPDATE: False Alarm.
