M7.3 Earthquake Smashes Mexico

The US Geological Survery (USGS) is reporting a strong Magnitude 7.3 Earthquake has struck southern Mexico,  48 km SW of Aquiles Serdán, Mexico.  Making it all the worse, the wuake took place at an extremely shallow depth of 15.2 KM; very near the surface of the Earth.


As shown on the localized regional map below, the quake actually struck just offshore in the Pacific Ocean.

No word if any Tsunami is generated.
