Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh was assassinated in Iran after attending the inauguration of the country’s new president, Iran and the militant group said early Wednesday.
Haniyeh has been Hamas’ political leader since 2017, had been living in exile in Qatar. A Revolutionary Guards statement said that Haniyeh and a security guard had been ambushed at a place of residence.
Sources claim Haniyeh and his entourage were staying at a guest house of the Revolutionary Guards in Tehran at the time of the assassination. IF THIS IS TRUE, and it is not confirmed yet, then this was an act of war against Iran.
Hamas has blamed Israel for the killing. There was no word from Israel on Haniyeh’s death.
No one immediately claimed responsibility for the assassination but suspicion quickly fell on Israel, which has vowed to kill Haniyeh and other leaders of Hamas over the group’s Oct. 7 attack on Israel that killed 1,200 people and saw some 250 others taken hostage.

NUNTIUS OCCULTUS: An Iranian Source claims that a Missile strike was launched by an Israeli Aircraft that was outside of Iranian Airspace. Reports from inside intelligence agencies here in the United States CLAIMS "Hezbollah and Iran will simultaneously respond with rocket barrages and bombs in the coming days."
