Just when we thought that thanks to the election of Donald Trump, the Russia-Ukraine Conflict can de-escalate away from nuclear war, two things took place this weekend that are astonishing.
1) New NATO General Secretary Mark Rutte stated "If the United States gives Ukraine to Russia, I will personally expel the United States from our (NATO) Alliance."
2) The new NATO member country, Finland, has proposed a new NATO "Nuclear Weapons Base" on its territory.
Hal Turner Analysis
There is no provision within the NATO Treaty giving the lowly, sniveling, General Secretary any power to expel any member.
Without the U.S., there is no NATO. It's that simple.
In fact, as a result of what he said, the US should decide that Mark Rutte can no longer be General Secretary, and this way we all get to see whether the US goes, or he goes.
OR;
Better still, the U.S. should withdraw from NATO and make clear that if a conflict erupts during the YEARS it takes for us to actually leave, our "aid" to any country requiring NATO defense will be limited to one U.S. soldier and one, U.S. Sailor in a rowboat from the US Navy.
As for Finland, they are apparently mentally ill and suicidal with their proposal for a NATO nuclear weapons base on their territory. Russia will never stand-by and let that happen. Finland will end up like Ukraine.
Clearly, the position of Europe is that a World War against Russia is going to be made to happen, whether we like it or not.
I am not certain who, in Finland, made this decision, but the people of Finland have a right to defend themselves from this person by removing this person or persons from power.
Insanity in foreign policy seems the order of the day, and the insane are presently doing everything they can to intentionally cause a nuclear war. They just don't have the balls to shoot first; they want to be able to blame Russia.
Any of us who rejoiced at the potential for peace thanks to Trump being re-elected, may want to rethink our hopes. The nutcases in Europe may force the world to go through this anyway.
